Teavana Passion Tango Review

January 22, 2017
teavana passion tango loose leaf review

Lately I have been drinking a lot of black and green tea variations and was craving something herbal and caffeine free. I had heard about Teavana’s Passion Tango tea and thought it would be right up my alley.

I was looking for a refreshing change from the usual caffeinated teas I had been drinking.

Passion Tango seemed like a good choice: it was herbal, had dried fruit pieces along with lemongrass and blackberry leaves (which are a few of my favorite ingredients I like in flavored tea blends).

Below is a review on Teavana’s Passion Tango where I’ll go into detail and share my thoughts on the tea. Continue Reading

High Noon Tea Co. Review

October 23, 2016
high noon tea co review

I was so happy when High Noon Tea Co. contacted me to review a sample of their teas.

I LOVE that they’re from Toronto (gotta represent!)

And I also like their mission and what they stand for.

Imagine my surprise when I found out I received not one or two samples of teas …

… But a BOX!

I was so excited I even made a High Noon Tea Co. unboxing video! I think my tea nerdiness may have reached an all time high.

When I opened the box I found four samples of teas to try. Below I’ll share my thoughts on Organic Cederberg Rooibos & Peach, Chocolate Toffee Mocha Pu’erh, WuYi Forest Orchid White, and Louis XIV. Continue Reading

DAVIDsTEA Birthday Cake Review

DAVIDsTEA Birthday Cake Review

So it’s a little bit passed my birthday already, but I couldn’t help myself by brewing another cup of DAVIDsTEA Birthday Cake! I had a heavy dinner but was still craving something sweet yet caffeine free for the evening.

Besides, who says you’re only allowed to have birthday cake flavored tea ON your birthday?! I drink this tea all year round!

It had then occurred to me that I’ve had this tea tin filled with delicious tea for months and have yet to write an official review about Birthday Cake (‘official’ being used loosely, because I can ramble on about tea to anyone who has an ear).

Before you know it I had the kettle on, the camera out, and my lineup of tea equipment ready to go for the review. Continue Reading

Sterling Tea Review

sterling tea review

I was excited when Sterling Tea contacted me to review one of their teas. Of course the first thing I did was check out their website to see what kind of teas they have.

Right away I was intrigued by their interesting names… Pink Champagne, Mango Peach, Strawberry Hibiscus, and Goji Acai just to name a few.

I wondered which one of their delicious flavors I would receive. Imagine my surprise when I received not one, but three, yummy teas to review!

Below I’ll share my thoughts on ReVive!, Strawberry Hibiscus, and Apricot Oolong. Continue Reading

Natural Warrior Tea Review: Guardian Brew Green Tea

April 23, 2016

When I first heard of Natural Warrior Tea I was intrigued by their message of providing high quality organic teas that help to stay energized throughout the day.

Although I like the occasional cup of coffee every now and then, the crashes I get afterwards are always a bummer. So when I heard of Natural Warrior Tea, I was really curious to try one of their teas to see what an energy tea was like.

After browsing around on their website, I could see that they have different teas all providing different types of health benefits.

No matter what type of warrior you are, there is a tea for you! Continue Reading

10 Health Benefits of Rooibos Tea You Didn’t Know About

March 31, 2016
health benefits of rooibos tea

For some of us rooibos tea is still fairly unheard of. I’ll be the first to admit I recently came across rooibos tea several months ago, and have been fascinated by it ever since. It made me want to dig deeper and research all I could about the different health benefits of rooibos tea.

If you’re unfamiliar with this type of tea, rooibos is a type of herbal tea. It comes from a plant called Aspalathus linearis, which is a shrub found in South Africa. Rooibos is commonly referred to as red bush, due to the way it looks. It’s usually reddish-brown in color, and has long, thin, leaves that closely resemble small pine needles.

You can find rooibos tea in two types of colors. The most common is reddish-brown rooibos, with the second being green rooibos. The colors vary due to how the leaves are produced for tea consumption, a process called oxidation. Green rooibos has a similar process as green tea.  I find the taste of red rooibos tea to be smooth, rich, and sweet, whereas the taste of green rooibos tea reminds me of green tea. Continue Reading

Teavana White Chocolate Peppermint – A Delicious Tea Review

January 3, 2016
teavana white chocolate peppermint

Over the holiday season while I was out doing some Christmas shopping, I happened to walk by a Teavana store in the mall. I immediately kept walking as I knew I shouldn’t go inside, since after all, the reason I’m here is to buy Christmas presents for others and not myself, right?

Then I started to have second thoughts.

What if they have a good sale? What if they have a new, limited edition holiday tea? What if they have a tea ware that would make a great gift for a friend (or myself)?

I came to the conclusion that I would regret it more if I didn’t go inside to at least check things out. And am I ever glad I did!

I was instantly greeted with a yummy sample of tea, the White Chocolate Peppermint tea by Teavana. I’m usually not a sucker for immediate in-store purchases after a free sample, but this tea was so good I just had to buy more. It was a minty winter wonderland that I knew I needed more of. DAVIDsTEA 24 Days of Tea – 2015 Advent Calendar – Part 4

December 19, 2015
24 days of tea davids tea

We are now on the last stretch of reviewing and blogging the 2015 DAVIDsTEA 24 Days of Tea advent calendar!

I’m really glad I was able to purchase the advent calendar this year as I’ve been able to sample so many new flavours! It’s a great way to try a sample of many flavours at once, instead of having to purchase the teas individually.

As mentioned earlier I’ve also been blogging about the tea reviews every single day. I haven’t reviewed the teas ahead of time or sampled a bunch at once, rather I review each one individually every single day.

You can also skip directly to the 24 Days of Tea list here.

Without further ado, let’s carry on!

DAVIDsTEA 24 Days of Tea – 2015 Advent Calendar – Part 3

December 13, 2015
davidstea 24 days of tea

We are now passed the halfway mark for the 24 Days of Tea advent calendar (insert sad face here).

Since I always try to view things in life with a cup half full approach (ha get it – cup half full?), we still have another 11 more teas to review!

That’s 11 more cups of tea to taste, smell, photograph, write about, and enjoy!

As mentioned before, every single day I review that day’s tea sample. I don’t review the teas ahead of time or review a bunch at once. Otherwise what fun would an advent calendar be?!

You can also skip directly to the 24 Days of Tea list here.

Let’s carry on then, shall we?
